It is very common for young people to struggle with low mood and worries.

However, getting access to the right support can be difficult, for many reasons.

Unlock Wellbeing provides free, anonymous activities and information to improve your mood and boost your mental wellbeing.

Unlock Wellbeing is here to help

Unlock Wellbeing is for young people who are struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, such as low mood or worries.

We are part of an international effort to improve their care using digital Single-Session Interventions (SSIs).

Our Single Session Interventions (SSIs) are specifically for young people in the UK:

  • accessible right away, with no waiting list
  • you don’t have to talk to anyone
  • no downloads needed
  • one session that takes 20-30 minutes!

How does it work?

The SSI works by teaching skills based on psychology. It can empower you to:

  • feel more hopeful
  • feel like you have more control in your life
  • improve your mood.

Who will benefit?

We think that it will be most useful for young people:

  • when they first start to struggle with their mood
  • who have found it difficult to access mental health services or are on long waiting lists for support
  • are nervous about using services because of what other people might think.
